Mattress Nerd’s Sustainability Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: April 1

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship. Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply.

Submit: Proof of enrollment, an acceptance letter or indicate your current school and the schools you have currently applied to; and a 500 – 1000 word essay answering questions relating to environmental change.

The Korean Ancestry Grant

  • Award: up to $12,000
  • Deadline: April 1

Eligibility: Open to undergraduate students of Asian ancestry (strong preference for Korean ancestry) with at least one Asian grandparent. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Submit: A well-written statement in support of the applicant’s application (not to exceed 1,000 words), two or three letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and an academic resume/CV.

CollegeXpress $10,000 Scholarship

  • Award: $10,000
  • Deadline: April 1

Eligibility: Open to students in Maine entering 1st year of post-secondary education. Must intend to enroll or be enrolled in a two or four-year degree-granting college or university.

Submit: Online application, transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a personal essay of 300 words or more.

Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund

  • Award: up to $15,000
  • Deadline: April 1

Eligibility: Open to to need-based students who are able to do academic work at the college or university level or are enrolled in a trade or technical program and who are active in the progressive movement for for social and economic justice.

Submit: Completed application form, SAR or FAFSA worksheet, two letters of recommendation, transcripts, and approx. 1000 word personal statement.

Ken Burnett Scholarship

  • Award: $2,000
  • Deadline: April 1

Eligibility: Any high school senior or undergraduate student of African American or Caribbean descent who is studying animal science, zoology, or biology may apply for this scholarship, but students who have experience in animal advocacy or animal care will be given preference.

Submit: Short video on why you’re passionate about animal advocacy and how you plan to continue your advocacy through your career of choice.

Linda “Noni” Anderson Memorial Music & Arts Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 1

Eligibility: Any low-income high school senior or undergraduate who has at least a 3.0 GPA and plans to study in arts or music may apply for this scholarship.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay on why you’re passionate about the arts and what piece of art or music is the most important to you. Additionally, submit 1-2 pieces of your creative portfolio in either music or arts.

Ryan T. Herich Memorial Scholarship

  • Award: $5,100
  • Deadline: April 1

Eligibility: Any high school senior, two or four-year undergraduate, or graduate student studying or planning to study one of these majors is eligible: political science, cultural anthropology, geography, or history.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay about yourself and how you plan to make a difference in the world by better understanding how the lessons learned from history, cultural anthropology, political science or geography might make the world a better place.

Chris Jackson Computer Science Education Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 1

Eligibility: Open to undergraduate students who are pursuing a computer science degree.

Submit: 300 – 500 word essay on your interest in pursuing a computer science degree, your career aspirations, and why you think you should receive the award.

NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

  • Award: $10,000
  • Deadline: April 4

Eligibility: Must be in final season of NCAA athletics eligibility or must have completed athletic eligibility and have performed with distinction as a varsity team member in the sport in which the student-athlete is being nominated. Must also be in final year of undergraduate academic work or received an undergraduate degree and have a minimum GPA of 3.2. Must be enrolled in a graduate degree granting program within one-year after the academic year the scholarship was awarded.

Submit: Online application, official transcripts, and 4 letters of recommendation.

OxStem Educational Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 4

Eligibility: Students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at a historically black college or university (HBCU) are eligible to apply if they have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and are currently pursuing a STEM degree.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay on why you are interested in STEM and how you will use your career to improve the lives of others.

Law School Opportunity Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: April 6

Eligibility: Open current undergraduate college students who have completed at least two full semesters of undergraduate coursework at the time of application (24 credit minimum), or graduate students, and who are pursuing a degree in one of the listed transportation-related fields. Must gave a 2.5+ GPA and be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate, or graduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.

Submit: Online application, contact information, headshot, proof of enrollment, and a video submission (of 5 minutes or less) answering the prompt.

Law Family Single Parent Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 11

Eligibility: Must be at least 17 years old, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and planning to pursue or is currently pursuing a degree in law.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay about yourself and how your experience as a single parent has shaped your pursuit of higher education.

#RAREis Scholarship Fund

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 13

Eligibility: Open to U.S. residents who have been diagnosed by a physician as having any form of rare disease regardless of treatment status. Must be at least 17 years old and currently enrolled or planning to enroll full-time or part-time in undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical/trade school for the Fall 2023 semester.

Submit: Online application, most recent transcript, and a diagnosis verification form.

Minority Students x Stem Scholarship

  • Award: $8,300
  • Deadline: April 15

Eligibility: Any first-generation BIPOC high school senior or undergraduate student pursuing a two or four-year degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar field may apply for this scholarship.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay about what influenced you to dive deeper into tech, what you would do to change the tech industry, and if you think the tech industry has an obligation to be inclusive to all consumers.

American Bus Association (ABA) Scholarships

  • Award: $500 – $3,000
  • Deadline: April 14

Eligibility: Several scholarships open to ABA Members and Non-Members focusing on broadening the number of traditionally underrepresented groups in the management and operation ranks of the transportation, travel, and tourism industry. Each scholarship has more specific requirements.

Submit: Online application and a short essay.

Oregon Nurseries Foundation (ONF) Scholarships

  • Award: $500 – $3,000
  • Deadline: April 15

Eligibility: Open to students preparing for a career in ornamental horticulture and related fields. Preference is generally given to residents of Oregon in select counties, but not required. 20 different awards available with varying requirements. Applicants may be awarded more than one scholarship.

Submit: Online application, cover letter, transcripts, resume, and two two current reference letters that will support your horticulture abilities or interests.

Norma’s Nursing Education Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 15

Eligibility: Any associate or bachelor level students currently studying nursing in New York or New Jersey may apply for this scholarship.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay about your background related to healthcare and what continuing education in nursing means to you.

National Dairy Shrine Scholarships

  • Award: $1,000 – $3,000
  • Deadline: April 15

Eligibility: Several scholarships available open to current freshmen through graduating college seniors who are planning a career related to the dairy industry or production agriculture.

Submit: Varies but generally, a completed application form, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and 700 – 800 word essay/s.

Gus Archie Scholarship Program (SPE Foundation)

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 15

Eligibility: Open to first-year petroleum engineering students. Recipients are typically in the top 3% in both class ranking and standardized test scores. Must be enrolled by 1 January following the application year.

Submit: Online application, one letter of recommendation, and documentation for entry exams (if applicable).

NW Osteopathic Medical Foundation Scholarship Program

  • Award: $10,000+
  • Deadline: April 15

Eligibility: Students enrolled in a COCA-accredited school who will be OMSII, OMS III, or OMSIV for the 2023-24 academic year are eligible to apply. No scholarships are provided to first-year students. Must be a resident of AK, ID, MT, OR or WA.

Multiple scholarships available with varying requirements.

Submit: Online application, one letter of recommendation, one or more short essays, and one 90-second “selfie-style” video.

BMO Capital Markets Lime Connect Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000 – $10,000
  • Deadline: April 16

Eligibility: Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at a four-year university in the United States or Canada; pursuing a degree in business/commerce, computer science, engineering, math, physics, statistics, or a related discipline; and accepted into or continuing university as a full-time student in Fall 2023 and returning in Fall 2024 with a minimum 40% course load.

Must be a person with disability and interested in a career in Financial Services with a focus on Capital Markets preferred.

Submit: Online application, current resume, current transcripts, and 1 reference letter.

JADED Recovery Scholarship

  • Award: $3,500
  • Deadline: April 16

Eligibility: Open to students who have had direct and/or indirect experience with drug and alcohol addiction.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay on how your direct and/or indirect experience with drug and alcohol addiction affected your beliefs, relationships and career aspirations.

KnowBe4 Black Americans in Cybersecurity Scholarship

  • Award: $10,000
  • Deadline: April 17

Eligibility: Open to Black/African American students. Applicants must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance, or a similar field; have a 3.2+ GPA; and an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student. Ph.D. students are not eligible.

Submit: Online application, unofficial transcripts, 1 letter of recommendation, resume, and 5 short essays of no more than 250 words each.

PG&E Better Together STEM Scholarships

  • Award: $2,500 – $10,000
  • Deadline: April 17

Eligibility: Open to CA residents who reside in a Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (“PG&E”) service territory, or be a dependent of a resident in PG&E’s service territory. Must be a high school senior or graduate; an individual that has earned their GED; a current college undergraduate; or a non-traditional student.

Must plan to enroll in full‑time undergraduate study at an accredited four (4) year college or university in California or a Historical Black College or University (HBCU) in the United States for the entire 2023-2024 academic year. The applicant must be pursuing their first undergraduate degree. Must also be pursuing a degree in one of the following STEM disciplines: engineering, computer science/information systems, cyber security, or environmental sciences.

Submit: Online application, current transcript, a recent PG&E bill, and one recommendation form.

CDM Smith Scholarship Program

  • Award: $7,500
  • Deadline: April 18

Eligibility: Must be a high school graduate who is enrolled to start or a currently enrolled student in an eligible STEM undergraduate or graduate program in the listed majors. Must have a 3.0+ GPA and plan to enroll full-time in an eligible undergraduate or graduate study STEM program focusing on engineering* at an accredited four-year college, university for the entire 2023-2024 academic year.

Submit: Online application, current transcript, resume, and IRS form 1040.

IBTTA Foundation Scholarship Program

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 19

Eligibility: Open current undergraduate college students who have completed at least two full semesters of undergraduate coursework at the time of application (24 credit minimum), or graduate students, and who are pursuing a degree in one of the listed transportation-related fields. Must gave a 2.5+ GPA and be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate, or graduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.

Solgaard Scholars: Access Oceanic Studies for LGBTQ+ Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 20

Eligibility: High school seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students are eligible to apply if they are part of the LGBTQ+ community and are studying a major related to ocean health/preservation.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay or a short video on why you are a good candidate for this scholarship and why you are passionate about oceanic health.

Joel Polsky Prize

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 20

Eligibility: Given annually, the Joel Polsky Prize recognizes outstanding academic contributions to interior design through print or digital communication. This year, the ASID Foundation is seeking submissions focusing on the impact of design on health and wellness.

Submissions should address the needs of the public, designers, and students on topics such as, educational research, behavioral science, business practice, design process, theory, or other technical subjects. Types of entries can include, but are not limited to, books, whitepapers, blogs, and videos.

Submit: Description of the publication or visual communication (250 word max), copy of publication or visual communication, biographical statement, and a headshot.

Joel Polsky Academic Achievement Award

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 20

Eligibility: Recognizes an interior design research project or thesis project conducted by an undergraduate or graduate student related to wellness and design.

Submit: Abstract (250 word max), thesis, dissertation or research project, transcript (an unofficial copy or alternate proof of enrollment will be accepted), biographical statement, and a headshot.

ASID Legacy Scholarship for Undergraduates

  • Award: $4,000
  • Deadline: April 20

Eligibility: Open to all students in their junior or senior year of undergraduate study enrolled in at least a three-year accredited program of interior design.

Submit: Design portfolio featuring 8-12 pages of work which demonstrates design solutions that positively impact occupant’s well-being, portfolio statement (500 word max), personal statement, transcript (an unofficial copy or alternate proof of enrollment will be accepted), biographical statement, letter of recommendation, and a headshot.

ASID Legacy Scholarship for Graduate Students

  • Award: $4,000
  • Deadline: April 20

Eligibility: Open to students who are enrolled in, or have been accepted for, admission to a graduate-level interior design program at an accredited university.

Submit: Personal Essay (1000 word max), transcript (an unofficial copy or alternate proof of enrollment will be accepted), design portfolio (10 pages max), biographical statement, letter of recommendation, and a headshot.

David Barrett Memorial Scholarship

  • Award: $12,000
  • Deadline: April 20

Eligibility: The David Barrett Memorial Scholarship is awarded biennially to recognize the work of an outstanding undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates an interest and ability in utilizing classical design elements and traditional materials in their work.

Submit: Classical design is aligned with Greek and Roman design principals. Please be creative and innovative in how this is translated in your work. All project types will be accepted, including, but not limited to, workplace, civic, residential, hospitality, and historical restoration.

Innovation in Education Scholarship

  • Award: $500
  • Deadline: April 20

Eligibility: The David Barrett Memorial Scholarship is awarded biennially to recognize the work of an outstanding undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates an interest and ability in utilizing classical design elements and traditional materials in their work.

Submit: Online application, letter of recommendation, self-photo, and an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation (no min or max word/page count).

Walker Williams Wilson Scholarship

  • Award: Varies
  • Deadline: April 21

Eligibility: Open to African American males who are either: high school seniors with acceptance to an Historically Black College or University and a GPA 2.7 or higher – OR – current full-time students with enrollment at an Historically Black College or University and a GPA 3.0 or higher.

Submit: Online application, essay of 400 words or less – OR – a video of 3 minutes or less.

(S)e.l.f Made Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 24

Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legal U.S. residents. Must enroll or be enrolled as an undergraduate in a post-secondary institution of higher education 2 or 4-year college or university, online or vocational school program.

Submit: Short online application with essay of 250 words or less.

Gloria Barron Wilderness Society Scholarship

  • Award: $25,000
  • Deadline: April 24

Eligibility: Open to graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited graduate institution in North America with goals for the long-term protection of wilderness in the United States. Graduate students in natural resources management, ecology, geography, law or policy programs are strongly encouraged to apply.

Submit: Online application, two-page double-spaced cover letter, 3-5 page double-spaced proposal, current resume/CV, two letters of recommendation, and scanned undergraduate and graduate transcripts (official or unofficial).

Dr. Magidson Memorial Theater

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 27

Eligibility: Any first-generation, low-income high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student with a background in theater and a major in theater arts may apply for this scholarship.

Submit: 5-10 minute written or video sample of your work in playwriting, acting or directing along with a brief explanation of your sample and interest in this opportunity.

Reynolds College Scholarship

  • Award: $12,000
  • Deadline: April 28

Eligibility: Must be a graduate of a public or private Georgia high school and a legal resident of Georgia with a cumulative GPA of 2.5+. Must have been accepted at a two or four year accredited college or university as a full time student. Must also have demonstrated athletic ability by successful participation in an organized junior golf program.

Advancing Care Scholarship for Adult Learners

Association of Women Contractors Academic Scholarship

  • Award: Varies
  • Deadline: April 30

Eligibility: Open to female students pursuing a construction-related field of study at an accredited college or university, community or technical college, or trade school during the 2023-2024 school year. Applicants must be a resident of Minnesota or attending postsecondary education physically in Minnesota.

Association of Women Contractors Apprentice Scholarship

  • Award: Varies
  • Deadline: April 30

Eligibility: Females currently working as a registered apprentice in 2023 or will be starting as an apprentice in 2023 with letter from the union. Applicants must be a current Minnesota resident.

Stephen LeCornu Routh Memorial Scholarship

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: April 30

Eligibility: Any high school senior or undergraduate student in Tennessee who wants to become an engineer may apply for this scholarship.

JCCIA John Fischetti Scholarship

  • Award: $2,000

Eligibility: Open to students age 13 and older currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2026) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Must legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia.

Submit: 250 words or less response to the question: “How will a $3,000 scholarship for education make a difference in your life?”

E-waste Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: April 30

Eligibility: Applicant must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home-schooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit.

Submit: Short online application form and a 140-character statement about e-waste.

1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship

  • Award: $2,000
  • Deadline: April 30

Eligibility: Open to United States residents 18 or older who are planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a college degree program.
