100+ Women scholarship programs (updated for 2020)

Here’s how you can find scholarships to help pay for college costs.

girl happy about women scholarships

Finding scholarships for women that work for you can be tough.

Sure, there are plenty of websites that list HUNDREDS of available scholarships for females and quick applications.

But…

  • Are those college scholarships legit?
  • Are they geared towards you and your needs?
  • Are the application deadlines even correctly updated?

I decided to make this post because those sites have sooo many scholarships and college grants for women listed that it can just be overwhelming!

And:

That can be ultimately less helpful and more time consuming than it needs to be.

Available Scholarships for Women in 2020

That’s why I organized and compiled all of the most current scholarships for women into one handy master list.

In this article…

You’ll find college money opportunities for all types of ladies.

Which includes…

Table of Contents:

(Jump to a section by clicking the links above)

I included application deadlines for all of 2019 and into 2020 next year.

There are opportunities for high school students, undergraduate degrees, graduate programs, vocational courses, and more!

Quick Scholarship Tip

Many scholarships and grant application essays can seem a bit repetitive.

My tip for applications- in order to avoid writing the same thing over and over again:

You can always save your essay draft and change it to fit into your next scholarship applications theme. It’ll free up some time and it’s one less hassle out of the way.

And another thing:

Don’t be afraid to ask for help when applying for scholarships!

If you’re struggling with a certain topic on your application – go see your student advisor, financial aid advisor, a professor, or even your fellow classmates.

They would all LOVE to help! They want to see you take advantage of college grants and college scholarships for women.

Alrighty, now let’s get down to business –

Grants & College Scholarships for Women

On this list of scholarships for women in college you will notice that some have colored letters next to them. I added these indicators to show that some have specific requirement criteria for applicants.

Finding applications that you personally qualify for is enough of a pain already without having to open and close 20 different windows!

So:

My hope is that these eligibility requirement indicators will help minimize the number links you need to click.

Scholarship Eligibility Key

*HS = High School/entering 1st year of post-secondary education applicants only.

*UG = can be used for Undergraduate study only.

*G = can be used for Graduate study only.

*W = Women applicants only.

*T = transfer students only.

*M = Minority applicants only.

*NT = applicants must be a “non-traditional” student.

*MI = Military affiliated applicants only.

*B = applicants who are studying a business related field such as: accounting, finance, business management, marketing, operations management, human resources management, etc.

*FT = must be a full-time student.

*State abbreviations included in brackets indicate a scholarship is only available to certain residents or those who are attending college in the specified state.

→ General Scholarships for Females

Listed here are general scholarships for women in college and those who are planning on going to college.

These ones don’t require you:

  • to be part of a minority group
  • to be pursuing a STEM degree
  • Or to be pursuing a business related degree.

I sorted scholarships with those specific eligibility requirements into their own separate sections to make it a little easier to find what you’re looking for.

And of course, so long as the other application qualification criteria is met:

Students who fall into those categories are still welcome (and encouraged) to apply!

But:

A good chunk of these college grants for women you’ll qualify for just on the account of being female. Find the exact due date for each student contest listed in the month sections below.
