And sometimes just tracking down opportunities that are ending soon feels like half the battle.

Eligibility: Any current, full-time student of an accredited American university or college, with a minimum GPA of at least 2.5, is welcome to apply.

  • Award: up to $3,000

Eligibility: Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in a college or a university; or a high school senior accepted for such enrollment. Must be pursuing, or planning to pursue, a course of study leading toward a career in physics teaching in the high schools.

Aalam Samsavar Scholarship

  • Award: $1,500
  • Deadline: Dec. 1st

Eligibility: Must be a college junior enrolled in a U.S. college or university, engaged in pre-dental studies, and have a 3.4 GPA or better.

Submit: 750 word essay or less, proof of enrollment, and transcript.

Dog Owner Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 1st

Eligibility: Students at any education level are eligible to apply. Students must either previously have or currently have a dog.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay responding to the prompt.

Lamber-Goodnow Scholarships

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 1st

Eligibility: Open to high school students and current college students. General scholarships available in addition to those specific to Nursing, Law, Medical, and Physical/Occupational Therapist studies.

Submit: 500 – 750 word essay, most recent transcript, and proof of enrollment.

Car Accident Survivor Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 1st

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled or have been accepted into an college or university by the Spring semester and have a minimum 2.8 GPA.

Submit: Short online form, 500 – 1,000 word essay, and unofficial transcripts.

Susann Reitan’s Future Biology Teacher Scholarship

  • Award: $3,219
  • Deadline: Dec. 1st

Eligibility: Any four-year undergraduate or graduate student who wants to become a science or biology teacher may apply for this scholarship.

Submit: Short essay on why you want to become a science teacher. 

Innovation Scholarship Contest

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 1st

Eligibility: Open to high school juniors and seniors, as well as students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a college, university or technical school in Texas.

Submit: Creative entry in any format (video, poem, infographic, essay, piece of art, or song), 300 word teacher nomination, photo of yourself, and short online form.

Rustica Scholarship

  • Award: $2,500
  • Deadline: Dec. 1st

Eligibility: Open to all students regardless of major.

Submit: An essay, video, sketch, or any design made on a computer (such as an app concept) in response to the prompt.

Worthy Women’s Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000 – $2,500
  • Deadline: Dec. 5th

Eligibility: Applicant must be a permanent resident of the United States; identify as a female; be over the age of 30; and must be enrolled in a continuing education professional studies program.

Submit: Online application and 300 – 500 word essay.

AREMA Educational Foundation Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 6th

Eligibility: Several scholarships available, requirements vary. General criteria for all scholarship applicants include having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5, and being available for an interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Submit: Online application.

Novus Biologicals Scholarship Program

  • Award: $1,500
  • Deadline: Dec. 8th

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled or accepted at a college/university for Spring 2022 and pursuing a degree in a science related field.

Submit: Online application, proof on enrollment, and (2) written statements of 500 words or less. 

Tocris Scholarship Program

  • Award: $1,500
  • Deadline: Dec. 8th

Eligibility: Open to students accepted/enrolled in a college/university/institute within US, Canada and European Countries who are pursuing a degree in a science related field.

Submit: Online application, proof on enrollment, and (2) written statements of 500 words or less. 

Terry Masters Memorial Scholarship

  • Award: $2,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 9th

Eligibility: Any high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate pursuing a degree in the fine arts may apply, but preference will be given to painters. Candidates who practice plein air (painting in the outdoors) are highly preferred.

Submit: Short essay on how the everyday world inspires your art and 2 – 3 images of your original art pieces. 

Avacare Medical Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 15th

Eligibility: Must be a high school senior or enrolled in a U.S. college/university pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, health law, etc. 3.0 GPA or higher.

Submit: 350 words or less essay OR 1.5 minute video OR image with short description.

North American Van Lines Logistics Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 15th

Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen (or permanent resident) enrolled (or enrolling) as a full-time student of an accredited college/university within the United States for completion of an undergraduate degree in Logistics or equivalent field.

Submit: Online form, most recent transcripts, proof of enrollment, and 400 – 800 word essay.

Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and enrolled students at a U.S. college/university that are citizens of the United States or in possession of an Alien Registration Card with a min. GPA of 3.0. Must be pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, etc.

Submit: 500 word essay or an image with a short description on what inspired you to pursue a degree in the field of medicine and transcripts.

Innovation in Education Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 20th

Eligibility: Open to any high school or college student within the U.S. or Canada with a GPA of 3.0+.

Submit: Online application, letter of recommendation, self-photo, and an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation (no min or max word/page count).

MyMozaic Monthly Scholarship Contest

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Dec. 29th

Eligibility: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or are lawfully living in the United States and at least 13 years of age on the date of their entry.

Transgender First Scholarship

  • Award: $2,500
  • Deadline: Dec. 31st

Eligibility: Applicants must identify as transgender or non-binary; have a high school diploma or GED; be a U.S. citizen; and plan to pursue a degree, or currently pursuing a degree, at a U.S. post-secondary institution.
