July is one of my favorite times of the year! It usually entails picnics, fireworks, and swimming with friends.

While June marks the beginning of summer, this month is a bit bittersweet because it signifies the end is already near (whomp whomp).

The good news:

If you’re planning on attending college in the fall, you still have time to find ways to pay for school.

Ascent’s 50 Days of $1,000 Scholarships Giveaway

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: Enter EVERY WEEKDAY this summer thru August 2nd!

Eligibility: Open to students at least 18 years old; and have applied to or are enrolled in a degree program at least half-time or technical skills training program (for example, a coding boot camp). Parents and legal guardians may also apply on behalf of eligible students.

American Pavilion Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: All US-based students currently enrolled in an accredited college are eligible to apply.

Submit: 1,000 word minimum essay in response to the prompt.

Dashanna K. McNeil Memorial Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Open to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students pursuing a career in nursing or a related field.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay.

“Be Bold” No-Essay Scholarship

  • Award: $25,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Students at any education level, school, field of study, and GPA will be considered.

ABC Humane Wildlife Women In STEM Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Open to persons who identify as female. Graduate and undergraduate students enrolling or continuing in STEM fields of study at accredited universities in the 2023-24 academic year are welcome to apply.

Submit: 1,000 word or fewer essay in response to the prompt.

Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship

  • Award: $2,000 – $3,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Must be a Louisiana Resident for at least one year prior to July 1. Must also be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a Louisiana Public College or University majoring in forestry, wildlife, or marine science with the intent of obtaining a degree in that field. Undergraduate students must have earned at least 60 hours of college credit and possess a 2.50 GPA or higher.

Submit: Completed FAFSA and application.

KB Delta Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Any student currently enrolled in any accredited college is eligible to enter.

Submit: 1,000 word essay + short online form.

WCEJ Thornton Foundation Music & Art Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Open to individuals interested in continuing their study of the arts in higher education, with preference given to arts majors.

Submit: 150 – 400 word essay on how you plan to positively impact the world through your art and some samples of your artwork/music/other creations.

KBK Artworks Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Any high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student pursuing art, has a creative art portfolio and has non-profit or volunteering experience may apply for this scholarship.

Submit: Your favorite art piece you’ve created and a short statement on how you are helping your community through your art.

Emergency Dentists USA Video Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and current college students of all majors.

Submit: A video no longer than 2 minutes in response to the topic.

Savor Summer College Scholarship

  • Award: $500
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: Open to any high school sophomore, junior, or senior with a GPA of 3.0+

Submit: 1 letter of recommendation, copy of most current high school transcripts, and 500 words or less essay.

Viaje de Esperanza Scholarship

  • Award: $12,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: All graduate students currently studying in El Paso, TX, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Denver, Colorado, pursuing a degree that will lead them in the mental health service field, are eligible to apply.

Submit: 500 word essay explaining your desire and motivation to pursue a mental health career to actively serve the Latinx community.

Hustle Tech & Business News No-Essay Scholarship

  • Award: $10,000
  • Deadline: July 1st

Eligibility: This scholarship will be awarded to applicants who get the most out of The Hustle Daily email newsletter.

Future Leaders in Technology Scholarship – College Award

  • Award: $2,500
  • Deadline: July 4th

Eligibility: Open to college and university students pursuing a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or data science. You must also be a member of an underrepresented group, including: Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, American Indian or Native American, LGBTQA+, and Women.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay.

Elite Lawyer Scholarship

  • Award: $1,500
  • Deadline: July 7th

Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old, have a 3.0 GPA, and currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university.

Submit: 500 word essay or a 2-minute video presentation, proof of enrollment, transcript, and a headshot.

@ESPDaniella Debt Grant

  • Award: $3,300
  • Deadline: July 8th

Eligibility: Any current undergraduate senior, graduate school student, college graduate, or previous student who dropped out of college and has student loan debt may apply for this scholarship.

Altec Design Web Scholarship

  • Award: $750
  • Deadline: July 15th

Eligibility: Student must be enrolled in an accredited institution for Fall 2023 (any major).

Submit: 1000 words or less essay and a recent photo of yourself.

Avnet Law National Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 15th

Eligibility: Applicants must be accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or graduate program within the United States and demonstrates a spirit of volunteerism and/or community service.

Denise K. Emberton Scholarship

  • Award: $1,500

Eligibility: Any high school senior or undergraduate student majoring in special education with a 3.5 GPA or higher and a desire to teach low-incidence or Autistic students may apply for this scholarship.

Submit: 400 – 600 word essay.

GeneTex Scholarship Program

  • Award: $2,000
  • Deadline: July 15th

Eligibility: Open to students that have declared a STEM major or are enrolled in a STEM graduate program.

Software Engineers Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000

Eligibility: Any high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student studying software engineering, computer science, applied math, or other software development fields, or possesses knowledge of the field and wishes to improve, may apply for this scholarship.

Michael Valdivia Scholarship

  • Award: $2,250
  • Deadline: July 15th

Eligibility: Open to male high school seniors and undergraduate students who have experience living with the impacts of anxiety and/or depression in their daily life.

HireAHelper Skilled Trade & Technology Scholarships

  • Award: $2,000
  • Deadline: July 17th

Eligibility: Must be 18 years or older, have a 3.4 GPA or higher, and currently be enrolled as a high school senior or in a community college, undergraduate, graduate, technical college, or vocational program. Must also be pursuing a degree that enables you or others in your community to learn a new trade, develop skills and technology, or start a small business related to moving services offered by HireAHelper.

Chantel S. Husted Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and graduate students in Florida with at least a 3.2 GPA and an interest in mental health or social services.

Eligibility: Open to high school juniors and seniors.

  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: July 29th

Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or are lawfully living in the United States and at least 13 years of age on their entry date.

Avonte Oquendo Memorial Scholarship for Autism

  • Award: $5,000
  • Deadline: July 31st

Eligibility: Applicant must be diagnosed or has a close family member who has been diagnosed with a form of autism, including Asperger syndrome.

In addition, must be an enrolled student at an accredited college, university, or vocational school or be accepted to begin school at an accredited college, university, or vocational school in the semester for which the application is being offered.
