A list of scholarships for high school seniors
Between standardized testing, applying to college, going to class, extracurricular activities, and more – your senior year in high school can be a whirlwind!
And as you know, figuring out funding is a key component of making your plans and preparations to go to college. It’s hard to find time to track down scholarship opportunities for high school students, much less work on the applications themselves!
I put together the list October scholarships for high school seniors down below. Now you’ll be able to quickly find out which ones you qualify for this month.

Breanden Beneschott Fire Memes Scholarship
Eligibility: Students at any education level, school, and field of study will be considered. No GPA requirement.
Submit: Submit your favorite memes, share a short caption for the meme(s) including your Instagram handle, and follow the Fire Meme Scholarship.
AES Engineering Scholarship
Submit: 500 – 1000 word essay.
Olin E. Teague Scholarship
Eligibility: The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen; a senior year high school student with the intent of attending an accredited U.S. college or university in the Fall of 2022; and plan to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies in an aerospace field.
Submit: 500 – 1000 word essay.
AmericanTrucks Student Scholarship
Eligibility: Application open students who meet one of the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited United States technical institute, 2/4 year college/university with program in construction management, secondary votech school or tuition bearing apprenticeship program in the traditional building trades(e.g. carpentry, HVAC, electrical or related fields of study). Students pursuing certificate programs or apprenticeship programs are welcome to apply.
- Currently attending high school and will be attending an accredited school in the next academic year to one of the aforementioned programs.
Submit: 750 – 1500 word essay.
Jacques Borges Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be a high school senior or current undergraduate student, of Haitian descent, and plan to study civil engineering (if a high school senior) or be actively enrolled in a civil engineering program.
Submit: 400 – 600 word essay on why you’re passionate about becoming a civil engineer.
Extreme Terrain’s Student Scholarships
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate college/university students and high school seniors who are pursuing a degree in environmental studies, ecology, land use, earth & atmospheric sciences, sustainable land management, environmental biology, sustainable agriculture systems.
Submit: 700 – 1500 word essay.
Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway
Submit: TikTok video explaining why you deserve tuition, how it will impact your life and help you reach your goals.
Innovation in Education Scholarship
Eligibility: Open to any high school or college student within the U.S. or Canada with a cumulative GPA of 3.0+.
Submit: Online application, letter of recommendation, self-photo, and an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation (no min or max word/page count).
Design for Recovery Sober Living Scholarship
Eligibility: Open to college students majoring in any field.
Submit: 500 – 1000 word essay on how your life has been impacted by addiction.
No Essay ‘You Deserve It’ Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be at least 16 years of age and a resident of any of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or US Territories (except for Rhode Island and Michigan). Additionally, you must either be enrolled now, or will be enrolled within three months of applying for the scholarship, in a qualified high school, college or university within the United States.
Submit: Super short online form.
MyMozaic Monthly Scholarship Contest
Eligibility: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or are lawfully living in the United States and at least 13 years of age on the date of their entry.
Submit: Your email address. Selection is based on the quality of students’ MyMozaic profile.
Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies
Eligibility: Applicants must have caddied, regularly and successfully, for a minimum of two years and are expected to caddie at their sponsoring club the year they apply for the scholarship. Applicants must have completed their junior year of high school with above a B average in college preparatory courses. The ACT and SAT will be optional for 2022 applicants.
Submit: Online application, essay, FAFSA report, high school evaluation with transcripts, caddie evaluation, and 2 letters of recommendation.
CollegeXpress Scaredy Cat Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be 13+ and a legal resident of the 50 U.S. or D.C.
Submit: Quick online form and one sentence response to the question.
VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship
Eligibility: Open to all students in grade 9 – 12 enrolled in a public, private, or parochial high school or home study program in the U.S. and its territories. Dependents of U.S. military or civilian personnel in overseas schools are also eligible to participate.
Submit: Competed entry form and your original 3 – 5 minute audio essay + typed essay.
Cappex Easy Money Scholarship
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, age 13 or older at the time of entry, and and currently planning to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning (college, university or trade school) located in the United States within four years.
Submit: A quick online form (no essay or minimum GPA requirement).
Coca-Cola Scholars Program
Eligibility: Must be a high school (or home-schooled) student attending a school in the U.S. (or select DoD schools) who will graduate during the 2022-2022 academic school year with a minimum overall B average/3.0 GPA.
Submit: Online application.
National Rice Month Scholarship Contest
Eligibility: Open to graduating high school students from rice-growing states –Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas.
Submit: Create an original video about U.S.-grown rice that’s 3 minutes or less in length.
“Be Bold” No-Essay Scholarship
Eligibility: Open to students at any education level. Students at any education level, school, and field of study will be considered. No GPA requirement.
