From the time that acceptance letter came in from your top pick college until now, I bet you’ve been over the moon and in extreme planning mode!

There’s so much that goes into planning your first time out in the college world.

Like –

Figuring out your schedule, who your advisor/counselor will be, where your future classes are, applying to clubs/part time jobs, and this is a major one (to me at least):

If you’re moving out of your parents house and into a dorm room.

It’s a BIG change!

Especially if you have never had to share a room before.

Things can get a little…cramped.

So:

Organization is key with dorm room living. Not only will that help with keeping track of your things, it will make your roommate HAPPY! Which is a plus. ?

Once you have an idea of the size of your room and what you’re going to organize, have you given any thought to a type of style or a room theme?

This look is a mix of clean cut, nautical and classic designs – with a dash of minimalism.

SO cute and easy to do.

Preppy dorm room ideas are everywhere!

Not only that, but they are so customize-able with what works for you. The preppy room design category is so broad and effortless to put together.

Also:

Preppy DOES stand for preparatory, which means that the preppy style comes from those private school kids in uniforms.

And, most preparatory schools are boarding schools with dorm room living. So this style really IS meant to work with you and your new dorm.
